Assistant Professor, Theatre Technology – Faculty Responsibilities
Courses taught include Basic Stagecraft, Introduction to Stage Lighting, Foundations of Tech Design, Survey of Entertainment Tech, Advanced Technical Production, and other required classes as needed within the discipline.
Full‑time faculty work a minimum 40‑hour week and include teaching, course preparation, student engagement, professional development, and institutional service.
Instructional Workload- Fall: 18 contact hours
- Spring: 18 contact hours
- Summer: 0 contact hours
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in theater, stagecraft, entertainment technology, entertainment production, entertainment engineering, live show production, television production, audio production, audio technology, multimedia production or digital media from a regionally accredited institution by August 2026 or an associate’s degree with demonstrated professional experience and competency in entertainment technology.
- Will teach in Face‑to‑Face, Mixed Mode, and Online modalities.
- Florida residency established within 30 days of start date if selected.
- Associate’s: $40,505 – $49,500 per year
- Bachelor’s: $42,347 – $51,751 per year
- Master’s: $46,027 – $56,248 per year
- Master’s+30: $49,709 – $60,748 per year
- Doctorate: $51,550 – $62,998 per year
