Part Time Faculty - Massage Therapy

We are currently looking for a dedicated experienced individual to join our team as Part Time Faculty – Massage Therapy Program. The ideal candidate will plan, organize and teach in a manner that ensures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives. Responsibilities include teaching the subject area or areas that correspond to the specialty, contribute to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curriculums, assessment, evaluation, research, peer mentoring and coaching, community service, advancement of the institution.

• 1. Diploma, Associate Degree, or higher in Massage Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 2. Minimum 3-5 years of professional practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
• 3. Comprehensive understanding of Florida Board of Massage Therapy laws and rules.
• 4. Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.
• 5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and teamwork.
• 6. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• 7. Commitment to student success and the institution’s mission.
• 8. Able to submit copy of any diploma, academic transcripts and/or certifications
• 9. Proven leadership skills from your previous work experience.
• 10. Knowledge and experience in technical applications:
  • a. Proficiency with MS Office suite software, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google applications.
  • b. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).

• 1. Certification in specialized modalities (e.g., Thai Massage, Sports, Prenatal, Reflexology).
• 2. Membership in AMTA, FSMTB, or equivalent professional associations.
