THE WORKPosition Assignment: F‑35 Contractor Instructor Pilot (CIP) to be located in Rovaniemi, Finland. This position will be responsible for the execution of F‑35 training operations in support of local Finnish Air Force flight training requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin Training Team and the local Finnish Air Force.
This position supports military pilots’ flight procedures in maintaining qualification level in the Pilot Training Device by executing approved pilot training syllabi, upgrade, and tactics training. CIP will provide pilot training using the F‑35 Full Mission Simulator (FMS). The instructor will primarily operate Instructor Operating Station (IOS) and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting pilot training and tactics development, as well as recommendations for courseware updates.
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F‑35 training and continuation training objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed. Candidate must maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access. Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.
- Provide academic training through Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW).
- The successful candidate will implement, and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed.
- Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with F‑35 program and customer procedures.
- Proven experience working in a collaborative environment with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds.
- Instruct pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training. Prepares lesson plans.
- Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student.
- Evaluates and monitors students’ performance.
Selected applicant may be required to work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week.

BasicQualifications
- Candidate must have active secret clearance and final clearance adjudication within the last five years and be able to qualify and hold a SAP clearance.
