This is a full-time position that works Monday – Friday 8:30am
-5:30pm. The pay is $15
-17 per hour with merit increases depending on experience and qualifications. This role is located at our center: 1 118 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809

The Preschool Teacher Floater plans and implements curriculum based on the age groups working with such as the 2-year-old, 3-year-old, and Afternoon VPK Classrooms while also serving as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for children. You’ll have the chance to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support children’s growth and success.
What You’ll Do- Assist the lead classroom teacher to coordinate and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
- Work with the lead teacher to plan individual and group age-appropriate exercises to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
- Ensure all Center policies and state regulations are met
- Represent Oak Ridge Children’s Academy with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Degree in Early childhood education or related field of study required
- FL DCF 45 hours Required
- National CDA Highly Preferred

- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional early childhood teaching experience
- Must clear a full level II DCF background check
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus (Spanish/English preferred)
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
