Position: Program Manager, Take Stock in Children (Orange County) (27778851)

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead the Take Stock in Children program by overseeing student recruitment, mentor engagement, college readiness programming, and partnership development. Ensure effective program operations, compliance, and collaboration with schools and community partners to support student success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Take Stock in Children program and related college readiness initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in college readiness, mentoring, volunteer management, post-secondary planning, and student success services.
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and program standards to ensure compliance with organizational and grant requirements.
  • Recruit, select, and enroll eligible students into the Take Stock in Children program.
  • Recruit, train, support, match and retain volunteer mentors with participating students.
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate workshops focused on college readiness topics, including FAFSA completion, financial aid, SAT/ACT preparation, and college applications.
  • Create and deliver training and resources for employees and volunteer mentors to strengthen student engagement and college readiness support strategies.
  • Collaborate with College Readiness Coaches, Mentor Coordinators, schools, and community partners to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with program goals.
  • Communicate and coordinate with school districts and educational partners to support student participation, engagement, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with school district personnel to ensure volunteer mentors complete all required clearance and onboarding processes in accordance with district guidelines for working with students.
  • Monitor program performance and provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing support to direct reports and team members.
  • Conduct regular meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development activities to support employee growth and accountability.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of student records, mentor participation, program activities, and performance metrics.
  • Collect, analyze, and report key performance indicators related to student outcomes, volunteer engagement, and college and career readiness initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders, educational institutions, and coalition members to strengthen program impact and outreach.
  • Serve as liaison to the Florida College Access Network and participate in collaborative initiatives that advance post‑secondary access and success.
  • Provide detailed reporting on program outputs and outcomes for key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Grants Administration team to identify potential grants, compose grant narratives, and complete monitoring reports and deliverables.
  • Collect participant success stories to highlight program achievements.
  • Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.
  • Facilitate outreach events including, but not limited to, mentor recruitment, student recruitment and student graduation, to increase knowledge of Take Stock in Children program services.
  • May be classified as essential, requiring prompt and effective action during critical situations to ensure the safety and well‑being of the community.
  • Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years in nonprofit, program management, or project management preferred.
  • Two years of experience in working with high school students required.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience required.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience in Canva and Square Space preferred.
  • Database experience preferred.
  • Event planning and volunteer management experience preferred.
  • Customer service skills and experience required.
  • Ability to edit, complete, and assemble reports.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
