At the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design we immerse our students in an environment that celebrates the fusion of traditional and contemporary art and design forms. Our mission is to harness the power of art to engage the senses, ignite the imagination, and inspire creativity across diverse mediums.

UCF School of Visual Arts and Design seeks part‑time Figure Model positions to support the Studio Art and Emerging Media programs. Un‑draped Figure Models (without clothing) serve as primary subjects for drawing and studio art courses at all levels within an academic setting.

Classification

Title:

Arts Technician I

• Pose for drawing and painting classes as directed by faculty.
• Maintain stillness and composure during poses, including extended sessions.
• Arrive promptly for scheduled sessions.
• Collaborate respectfully with faculty and students.
• Enter hours in Workday daily and submit to model supervisor.
• Complete periodic mandatory UCF trainings.

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience as a figure model for art classes or workshops; preferably in a higher education or academic studio environment.
• Interest in the arts or humanities.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct university business.

Hours of Work:
Part time.

Work Schedule:

Hours vary but are between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Type of Appointment:
Fixed Term.

Hourly Rate: $18.00 to Negotiable.
