The Opportunity
The Instructional Technologist II position in the Center for Distributed Learning will, in collaboration with Instructional Designers, design diverse curriculum, course, workshop, and related materials in support of online education s position will support our strategic priority to develop and maintain high-quality learning experiences for students, ensuring best practices for quality, delivery, and technology in parallel with consultative efforts of the Instructional Design team.
This is an Auxiliary (AUX) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities- Create and/or support the development of learning materials and related digital content in alignment with stakeholder needs, quality standards, and instructional design best practices.
- Provide logistical and delivery support for faculty-facing training and/or credentialing in collaboration with Instructional Designers and related teams. Supports quality course review processes.
- Investigate, implement, and evaluate instructional technologies in the service of online and blended learning.
- Participate in and support committees, task forces, professional associations, events, and other engagements for the advancement of digital learning.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
- Master's degree in educational technology, instructional design, or a closely related field.
- Direct experience developing instructional content and developing multimedia for teaching.
- Direct experience facilitating faculty development and technology workshops.
- Direct experience managing a variety of educational technologies and systems used in online teaching and learning.
