Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Orlando, FL

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist, working with K-12 students to deliver essential compensatory services and evaluations. This is a travel-friendly, on-site role located near Orlando, FL, serving school campuses in the Oviedo and Sanford areas. The contract runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

You'll collaborate closely with education teams and focus primarily on direct therapy, making a significant impact on the educational journeys of students with visual impairments.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• National Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Licensure required
• Current Vision Certification
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-12
• Valid driver's license and social security card
• Completion of Form 1403 Fingerprinting, I9 sections 1 and 2, and other onboarding documentation
• Must be comfortable providing both compensatory O&M services and evaluations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct mobility training and instruction for K-12 students
• Complete evaluations and document progress according to district standards
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student outcomes
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with regulatory requirements
