The Instructional Designer II is responsible for designing and developing scalable learning solutions that build employee capability and improve organizational performance. This role applies instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and data-driven insights to create engaging, outcome-focused learning experiences across onboarding, leadership development, and operational training programs. The position partners closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional leaders, with occasional facilitation responsibilities to support program delivery.
Qualifications- Learning Strategy and Curriculum Design - 25%
- Design end-to-end learning solutions aligned to business priorities, including onboarding, leadership development, and operational training
- Define learning objectives, success metrics, and instructional frameworks for Instructor Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), and self-paced formats
- Recommend appropriate modalities, sequencing, and learning pathways to drive measurable performance outcomes
- Instructional Content Development - 25%
- Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, e-learning modules, and job aids
- Translate complex operational and technical content into clear, engaging learning experiences
- Create visually effective and interactive learning assets using LMS and authoring tools
- Stakeholder Partnership and Program Development - 20%
- Partner with subject matter experts, Operations Training, and business leaders to gather requirements and validate content
- Support development and standardization of enterprise programs to ensure consistency and scalability
- Align learning solutions with operational needs and workforce capability gaps
- Measurement, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement - 15%
- Track participation, completion, and effectiveness using LMS and reporting tools
- Analyze feedback, performance data, and business outcomes to refine learning programs
- Recommend improvements based on insights to enhance learning impact and efficiency
- Facilitation and Program Support - 15%
- Facilitate select orientation sessions, onboarding programs, or small-group training as needed
- Support program logistics including scheduling, enrollment, and training administration
- Leverage emerging technologies and tools to improve learning delivery and engagement
