- The Reliable One, is presently seeking Technical Trainer
- Electric (Power Plant Operations) to join the Technical Training division. At OUC, we don't just work - we're building a bright future of innovation and transformation for future generations. In this role, you will design curriculum, create technical documentation, and deliver hands‑on and classroom instruction aligned with industry standards and organizational needs.

You will also support apprenticeship progression, competency‑based assessments, and ongoing employee development while partnering closely with operations and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and subject‑matter expert who thrives in both field and classroom settings and is passionate about building a strong, well‑trained electric utility workforce.

The ideal candidate will have:

* High School Diploma or GED (required).

* Associate's degree in Business, Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field of study from an accredited college or university (preferred).

* Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the electrical power generation field (based on area of assignment), (required) to include:

* Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Power Plant Operations as a Control Center Operator I or the equivalent journeyman level power plant operator (based on area of assignment);

* Experience in Power Plant operations (operations area of assignment); or

* Minimum two (2) years of experience in Power Plant maintenance (maintenance area of assignment);

* Experience in a power production journeyman or master technician role working in the maintenance and operation of commercial grade generators ranging in size from 5 to 4300 kilowatts (preferred).

* Minimum of two (2) years of experience training adult learners in the utilities industry, heavy machinery, or industrial environment to include curriculum development, instructional facilitation and technical training delivery (preferred);

* OSHA safety guidelines training or exposure (e.g. OSHA 30, etc.) or must obtain OSHA training certification within 1 year of hire;

* Technical training related certifications (CompTIA CTT+) (preferred);

* State of Florida Valid Driver's License. Must be able to obtain Class A CDL license if necessary.

Salary Range: $40.33 - $50.41 per hour - commensurate with experience
