  • Assist in the leadership necessary to fulfill the mission, objectives, plans, and goals of the college
  • Plan, organize, direct, staff, coordinate, motivate, supervise, and evaluate all facets of the school’s education department focusing on students’ experience
  • Meet or exceed the college's monthly and annual retention goals by providing student services
  • Provide accurate weekly and monthly attrition forecasts
  • Assist students in understanding their class schedules for all programs and courses
  • Conduct new student orientations
  • Maintain a productive schedule to contact at‑risk students daily and promote student engagement
  • Advise on and manage students’ certification exams as applicable
  • Assess all student engagement and retention results and create programs and events that contribute to students’ persistence
  • Plan, schedule and execute student services events and activities to meet accreditation criteria
  • Advise students on all matters including midterm advising, failure advising, and students’ absence advising
  • Hire, train, and retain student services staff
  • Ensure student satisfaction with the student experience
Requirements
  • Master’s Degree required, preferably in Higher Education or a closely related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a higher education setting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of academic and vocational/technical program administration in community and/or vocational college settings
  • Hold a positive attitude, self-confidence, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills, presentation skills, and listening skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet
  • Proficiency with virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, or equivalent)
