OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a Technical Trainer (Electric) to join the Technical Training division. We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional to lead the development and delivery of technical training that supports the electric power distribution field.
In this role, you will design curriculum, create technical documentation, and deliver hands-on and classroom instruction aligned with industry standards and organizational needs.
You will also support apprenticeship progression, competency-based assessments, and ongoing employee development while partnering closely with operations and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and subject-matter expert who thrives in both field and classroom settings and is passionate about building a strong, well-trained electric utility workforce.

The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Associate's degree in Business, Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field of study from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience as a Line Technician in the electric power distribution field, (required) to include:
- Designation as a journeyman Line Technician including experience with both overhead and underground distribution systems;
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience training adult learners in the utilities industry, heavy machinery, or industrial environment to include curriculum development, instructional facilitation and technical training delivery (preferred);
- OSHA safety guidelines training or exposure (e.g. OSHA 30, etc.) (preferred);
Technical training related certifications (CompTIA CTT+) (preferred); - Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to obtain Class A CDL license if necessary.

Salary Range: $40.33 - $60.49 hourly ($83,846.40 - $ annually) – commensurate with experience The salary range listed reflects the full pay grade (minimum to maximum) for this role. In alignment with OUC's compensation practices, starting salaries typically fall within the first half of the range (minimum to midpoint). Any exceptions to this practice require additional review and approval.
