Part-Time Tutors; Accounting, Math & Sciences Learning Assistant II

Valencia College is seeking part-time Learning Assistant II (Tutor) candidates to support students across several academic disciplines at our campuses in the Orlando area.

We are currently recruiting tutors in:

• Accounting
• Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology
• Mathematics: College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II & III, Differential Equations, Mathematical Thinking, Mathematics in Context, and Statistical Methods

As a Learning Assistant, you'll provide individualized and small-group academic support, helping students strengthen their understanding of course material, build confidence, and develop effective problem-solving and study strategies.

You'll work collaboratively with students, faculty, and learning support teams while contributing to an encouraging environment focused on student success.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous tutoring experience
• Strong knowledge in one or more of the academic disciplines listed above
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• A collaborative and student-centered approach
