PLEASE NOTE:
This job is on call, as needed from 7:30am to 3:30pm on Monday thru Friday. Must be able to travel to Orange, Osceola and Seminole and work up to 25 hours per week. Must also be able to enroll in the 45 hour DCF training within the first 3 weeks of employment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provides services to Early Head Start and Head Start children and families in compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards Child care work involving assisting the Teacher in working with young children and families to develop their cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Perform teacher or teacher assistant duties in absence of the teacher or teacher assistant including, but not limited to following lesson plans and daily classroom routines.
- Implementing lesson plans pursuant to teacher/TA directions.
- Implementing individual goals and objectives pursuant to teacher/TA directions.
- Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques.
- Ensure and provide basic care giving duties (utilizing universal health and safety precautions) for children, including, but not limited to changing diapers, feeding children, and cleaning children’s hands, faces, etc.
