OverviewInsight Global is seeking a highly skilled Gas Turbine Field Service Technician to support a leading client in the global energy sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands‑on technical environments, enjoys extensive travel, and is eager to work on complex industrial power systems.
The technician will join a specialized field team responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, and maintenance of gas turbines, as well as occasional work on steam and nuclear turbine systems. This position requires up to 80% international travel, often to power plants and industrial sites around the world. When not traveling, the technician will work onsite at the Orlando office.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field service activities on gas turbines, including teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly.
- Support maintenance and outage operations for gas, steam, and nuclear turbine equipment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work execution.
- Interface professionally with clients in diverse international environments.
- Document service activities, findings, and recommendations.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Must reside within 60 miles of the Orlando office.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 80% of the time.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hands‑on industrial equipment.
- Experience working on industrial power systems, ideally turbines or rotating machinery.
- Professional demeanor with strong client‑facing communication skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in demanding field environments.
- Mechanical background (degree or equivalent experience).
- Highly coachable and eager to learn advanced turbine technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Prior military experience, especially in mechanical or technical roles.
- A service‑oriented mindset and desire to contribute to mission‑critical energy operations.
