Description Job Summary/Overview
The Solar Technician is responsible for performin troubleshooting, diagnostics, and service work on solar PV and energy storage systems, including Enphase microinverter systems, Tesla battery systems, SMA inverters, and Solar Edge inverters and optimizers
Support service and troubleshooting across string inverter and microinverter architectures, monitoring platforms, and balance-of-system components
Diagnose issues related to inverter communications, monitoring errors, production issues, battery operation, and system performance

Job Responsibilities
- Perform solar, electrical, or building inspections as scheduled
- Coordinate inspections with customers and jurisdictions
- Maintain an organized and efficient calendar, highlighting existing appointments, as well as availability for additional inspections
- Build a positive and lasting customer experience, discussing project timelines post inspection signoff, detailing and communicating concerns internally
- Use software systems to record, maintain and update project specific deliverables and tasks
- Complete unforeseeable minor punch list items such as painting conduit, applying NEC stickers/placards, etc.
- All team members are responsible for supporting an inclusive work environment
- 100% travel is required
Hands-on service and troubleshooting experience with rooftop solar PV and battery storage systems
Enphase microinverters and Enphase monitoring platforms
Tesla battery storage systems (including Powerwall)
Solar Edge inverters, optimizers, and monitoring systems
SMA string inverters and related equipment
Experience diagnosing inverter, microinverter, optimizer, battery, and communication-related issues
Familiarity with multiple racking and mounting system manufacturers is a plus
Working knowledge of electrical theory, NEC-related requirements, and solar-specific electrical troubleshooting
Experience troubleshooting roof penetrations, mounting interfaces, and water intrusion concerns related to rooftop solar systems
