As a Wind Turbine Travel Technician, you will support wind sites across the region by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Siemens Gamesa wind turbines. This highly mobile role requires extensive travel, flexibility, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. You will work closely with site teams to restore turbine availability and complete assigned work safely and efficiently.

• Travel up to 95% to assigned wind sites and provide field support across multiple projects, including short-notice mobilizations as operational needs require.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Siemens Gamesa wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, and converter systems.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and complete corrective work safely and efficiently to restore turbine availability.
• Climb turbines up to 300 feet, work in confined spaces and at elevation, lift and carry tools or equipment, and perform work in varying weather conditions.
• Complete service reports, time entries, parts documentation, and other required records accurately using company systems and procedures.
• Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and site requirements while collaborating professionally with customers, site personnel, and mobile-team colleagues.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, certification, or additional education in electrical, mechanical, or wind‑energy systems is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a technical, mechanical, electrical, or wind‑turbine field; equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, or converter systems and the ability to read technical procedures and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a mobile team, make sound decisions in the field, and communicate professionally with customers and site personnel.
• Ability to satisfy job‑specific physical and medical requirements, including climbing at least 267 steps, working at heights and in confined spaces, lifting, bending, and working overhead; applicable equipment weight restrictions must also be met.
• Ability to travel up to 95% domestically and internationally and work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, or extended assignments as needed. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a valid passport are required and must be maintained throughout employment.

You will join a mobile field-service team that partners with site operations, technical support, and customers to maintain and restore wind‑turbine performance. The team supports multiple projects, shares technical knowledge, and works collaboratively to deliver safe, high‑quality service wherever support is needed.
