Overview

Entry Level Electrical Engineer role at Dewberry in Orlando, FL. Dewberry is seeking a candidate to join its MEPS team and contribute to electrical engineering design and related project work.

• Design electrical systems for buildings and develop construction documents.
• Perform building information modeling (BIM) using Revit MEP and CAD drafting using AutoCAD.
• Produce drawings, specifications, and coordinate disciplines with other trades.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; conduct construction site reviews and code reviews for MEP systems.
• Interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients; collaborate within the Dewberry organization.
• Assist with design and specification of power distribution systems, emergency generation systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other technology systems.

• BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited university is required.
• 0-2 years of technical experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems.
• PE is preferred.
• Experience designing electrical systems and producing design documents for buildings in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized; good note-taking skills.
