Overview
You will be the Senior Electromechanical Engineer for the Air Dominance Electromechanical Engineering team in Orlando, Florida. Our team is responsible for designing, integrating and qualifying complex electromechanical packages—electronics cards, cable harnesses and supporting structures—that enable both test bed hardware and production line systems for advanced air dominance platforms.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Senior Electromechanical Engineer you will lead the creation of high performance hardware solutions, drive design assurance activities, and support integration of subsystems into the laboratory environment. You will serve as the technical bridge between design, program management and the customer, ensuring that every package meets stringent performance, safety and schedule requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing detailed electromechanical designs for avionics cards, cable assemblies and mechanical support structures.
- Producing complete release packages (3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and design assurance documentation) in accordance with Lockheed Martin standards.
- Performing integration, fit check and test activities in the lab to validate subsystem and system performance.
- Leading design review and verification efforts with functional leads, program managers and customer representatives.
- Coordinating closely with engineering administration, designers, subcontractors, planning and quality teams throughout assembly, inspection and test phases.
- Applying design for manufacturability and design for test principles to streamline transition from prototype to production hardware.
- Managing configuration control and documentation in LM tools (e.g., Windchill) to maintain traceability.
- Supporting occasional travel to supplier sites, customer facilities or program milestones while primarily working onsite in Orlando.
