Kforce has a client that is seeking a Regional Quality Engineer in Orlando, FL.
Key Accountabilities:
- Regional Quality Engineer will deliver Process/Quality definition for equipment service programs in the repair and refurbishment of Power Generation components
- Interpret and assess the functional and performance requirements of supplied specifications and qualifying requirements for component, and its assembly, service or manufacturing processes
- Evaluate non-conformance issues utilizing simple to complex root cause analysis tools in determining the corrective and preventive action plan
- Assess effectiveness of product or process controls and provide technical advice in evaluation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues including improvements in cost and cycle time
- Provide quality direction, training and education to Company employees, suppliers & other stakeholders
- Initiate and lead investigations by utilizing the Quality Improvement System (QIS) when nonconformances are found
- Interface with Customer and other functional departments during project planning, execution and close out activities
- As a Regional Quality Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, monitor and report on activities during all Project phases as per Inspection and Test Plans & Project Quality Plan
- Liaison with Customer during customer witness points during project execution, with a focus on compliance with technical requirements
- Lead the source release activities at 3rd party, in the field or customer site
- Travel up to 60% providing support during outages at customer site from anywhere between 2-12 weeks duration
- Local travel to support vendor related activities
- Support Project team in the execution of quality programs and processes
- Evaluate and Report on Project/Contract status - dashboards, KPIs

- Capability to apply Risk based thinking, Continuous improvement methodology, 5S, NDE principles, GD&T, IM&TE, welding quality in verifying product/process quality in a large rotating equipment industry
