We are seeking an domain expert Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineer who will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers who design, development, and deployment of embedded algorithms that perform inertial tracking, inertial navigation and/or sensor fusion within Missiles and Fire Control.

What You Will Be Doing GNC Engineer tasks include:

- Designing, integrating and testing algorithms in the aforementioned technology areas for both missile and fire control products. They will be involved with the development of complex models and simulations to aid in algorithm development and validation. The engineer will be responsible for evaluating system performance in complex scenarios and environments as well as verifying system and subsystem level requirements. The engineer should be comfortable with developing and presenting technical material to brief internal leadership and external customers.

Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms that perform inertial tracking, inertial navigation and/or sensor fusion
- Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other such techniques to detect targets of interest.
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities

Basic Qualifications:

- BS or MS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree.

- Candidate should be fluent in MATLAB, python, and c++ - Candidate should have relevant experience or exposure to Navigation Algorithm Development. Areas may include: (Inertial navigation, strapdown navigation, attitude and velocity keeping, advanced GPS signal processing techniques, magnetic nav, star-tracking, visual navigation, covariance analysis, transfer alignment with a host platform, boresight/calibration modeling and estimation, inertial sensor selection and performance modelling) - Candidate should have relevant experience or exposure to Inertial Tracking Algorithm Development.
