Position: Head of Turbine Operations US

A Snapshot of your Day:

As the Head of Turbine Operations (US) West team, you will lead and inspire a dedicated group of more than 15 engineers (Technical Project Managers for Blades and Vanes) based in the US. This leadership role focuses on driving team performance, ensuring quality, on‑time delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders including manufacturing, service, procurement, and program management on engine level to deliver high‑impact turbine solutions.

You will be pivotal in developing your team’s capabilities, promoting continuous improvement, and globally aligning operational goals with Siemens Energy’s commitment to sustainable and reliable energy solutions.

    Provide professional leadership to your team of more than 15 technical project managers for blades and vanes development, fostering an environment of drive, innovation, and high performance

    Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, procurement, and program management on engine level to meet project and operational goals
  • Continuous improvement:
    Drive initiatives to optimise processes, tools, and methodologies within the team
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 years R&D project management or line management. Preferred experience in gas turbine design.
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of design activities for gas turbine / turbine project like aerodynamics, heat transfer, mechanical integrity, mechanical design, manufacturing and service.
  • Strategic thinking focused on execution, excellence and team performance
  • Strong communication, inter‑cultural awareness, and presentation skills
  • A proactive mindset with analytical and organisational skills and the ability to communicate expertise for networking and change management.
  • Available for domestic travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored visa requirements
