Job Overview

The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos has an opening for an experienced Cloud and Deployment Engineer in Orlando, FL, supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network and associated infrastructure. In this mission, the Cloud and Deployment Engineer will be involved in day‑to‑day activities and strategic long‑term maturation of complex systems. The role supports fielding and operating the customer's Digital Infrastructure.

• The Test team within the Digital Infrastructure Network Integration Lab (DI‑NIL) maintains the DI‑NIL architecture and services, providing cloud operations support with overall management of cloud systems and environment monitoring.
• The DI‑NIL effort works with customers to ensure environments are properly configured, including least‑privilege access during stakeholder activities.
• Full documentation of builds and configurations is mandatory, along with process‑flow documentation to ensure repeatable tasks.
• Provide backup support for other personnel in the DI‑NIL effort focused on Verification and Validation for the Digital Infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or master’s with 6+ years, or demonstrated experience as a subject‑matter expert.
• Minimum Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Cloud concepts applied to DoD programs.
• Experience in design‑review participation and customer‑centric input.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and systems engineers.
• Ability to participate in cross‑functional planning, coordination, and task execution across system integration activities.
• Comfortable working with people from varied disciplines and technical backgrounds.
• Mid‑level networking understanding.
• Mid‑level understanding of government systems security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation, with ability to discuss security issues.
• Ability to brief technical and non‑technical customers.

• Experience with Agile program execution and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Prior experience on ABMS or JADC2 initiatives.
• Four years of DoD‑based system security testing with ACAS/Nessus and remediation.
• Experience designing and deploying networks.
• Experience with SAFe Agile implementation.
• Experience supporting Department of the Air Force programs.
• Experience working on complex multi‑domain systems.
• Experience with design and validation of Cloud and Edge Computing and Network.
• Knowledge of test automation and test result analysis.
• Experience in network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability, and scalability.
• Proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test specifications.
• Experience in integration, test, verification, and validation.
