Position: Sr. Principal Systems Engineer with Security Clearance
Position Description & Qualifications Serco-North America is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer with SATCOM experience to join our dynamic and diverse team environment in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, translating requirements into a proposed design, and assisting in the development and implementation of assigned features on the CNPS SATCOM system. In this role, you will:
* Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
* Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
* Coordinate the activities of the software engineering department with other sections of the corporation's information systems operation.
* Deliver high-quality, scalable technical solutions and provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system.
* Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
* Be recognized as domain experts who lead technical decisions and influence technical direction within their team.
* Be responsible for the instruction, assigning, and overseeing the performance of less experienced software systems engineers. To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Active DoD Secret clearance.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
* 8+ years of related experience.
* Strong understanding of general system engineering principles.
* Experience with Agile development.
* Extensive SATCOM knowledge.
* Ability to travel 25%. Additional desired experience and skills:
* Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.
* Experience with DoD acquisitions processes.
* Experience with DoD SATCOM acquisition, prioritization, and spectrum management processes.
* Experience with SATCOM Planning and Link Budget Analysis.
* Experience with ITU guidelines.
