Role Overview

The Project Scheduler position supports Project Management by providing detailed project schedules which support the entire project cycle from development to operations. The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing project templates in conjunction with the project team, including critical path analysis, alternate schedules, and implementing variables into schedule. The scheduler may have to maintain several schedules at any given time for various projects in various stages.

Supports ongoing projects by working with the project team on project status, identifying opportunities for improvement, delays and areas where additional concentration is required as well as supports the rest of the project team as needed including project set up in database software, cost control, change order tracking and reports.

  • Develop logically linked project schedules using proposal/contract documents and estimates.
  • Maintain and update master project schedules, tracking progress, delays, and impacts.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve scheduling issues and assess work impacts.
  • Create pre‑proposal schedules illustrating activity sequences and contract timelines.
  • Integrate resource and cost loading into project schedules as required.
  • Analyze critical and near‑critical path activities.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure proper planning before work begins.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on planning, scheduling, and reporting needs.
  • Identify employee training needs and deliver scheduling software training; stay current with software advancements.
  • Support project teams with planning, tracking, data collection, and performance analysis.
  • Update project status, plans, and prepare data for reviews and meetings.
  • Monitor and report project performance against established plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project scheduling for industrial, construction, or power generation projects; international experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret business publications, technical procedures, and government regulations, skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient with resource‑loaded scheduling software, project management databases, spreadsheets, word processing, email, and technical graphics/diagrams.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
