About The Role
As a CBRE Senior Property Condition Assessor, you will prepare complex Property Condition Reports and note deficiencies observed by a professional in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
What You’ll Do- Conduct walk-through surveys to assess the condition of the property, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, structure and foundations, interiors and exteriors.
- Perform inspections and determine the values of land, property, and businesses as part of the Valuation function.
- Interview property owners, occupants, and other key members to collect information.
- Review repair costs, occupancy, maintenance, and inspection reports.
- Collect photographs of property systems and their conditions for observation.
- Prepare estimated costs for large repairs and improvements.
- Act as an authority for specialties needed.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems.
- Possess a wide understanding of own job field and some understanding of several job fields within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and work toward agreement when possible.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The following represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred with 2‑5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certification as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect preferred.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive approach.
- Sophisticated math skills; ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial‑related calculations.
