Description

Are you a Transportation-focused Senior-Level Project Engineer who is experienced in Design-Build / Alternative Delivery pursuits? As a Senior Alternative Delivery Project Engineer, you will become part of a dedicated team that provides technical and production support in the development of Alternative Technical Concepts (ATCs), geometric design, and plans production for major Alternative Delivery (Design‑Build) projects and pursuits.

This role can be based in Orlando or Tampa, FL with flexibility to work in the office or with a hybrid work schedule.

This position is eligible for a sign‑on‑bonus starting at $10,000!

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • Perform engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross‑sections, construction, and Temporary Traffic Control details.
  • Creation of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports.
  • Perform advanced Micro Station, GEOPAK, Open Roads processes using 3D modeling.
  • Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi‑discipline engineering teams.
What you’ll need
  • B.S. from an ABET‑accredited university in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of transportation roadway design experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida
  • Proficiency in Micro Station and/or Open Roads
  • Strong knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria, FDM and Standard Plans
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self‑initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail‑oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on limited‑access projects
  • Experience working on alternative delivery / design‑build projects
  • Experience with 3D corridor modeling
