- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems for industrial automation applications including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and networks
- Create and sustain automation and control system architectures
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and system owners to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget
- Conduct testing and commissioning of automation systems
- Analyze system requirements for industrial automated manufacturing control systems
This is a customer-facing Sr. Instrumentation Technician role supporting industrial automation environments.
Minimum Qualifications Required- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, controls, instrumentation, or electrical engineering
- Direct experience supporting water or wastewater treatment facilities strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with motion control systems and electrical control panel design
- Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and commissioning automated manufacturing or process control systems in industrial environments
- Proven ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair complex instrumentation systems
- Ability to safely troubleshoot live systems in operational environments
- Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment/systems in industrial manufacturing facilities
- Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI design, industrial networks and ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and general engineering documents/drawings
This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a Controls Technician, Automation Technician, or Instrumentation Technician working with:
Industrial automation and systems integration
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Drives, servos, and motion control systems
- DCS and industrial control systems
- Industrial robotics including Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots, and Yaskawa/Motoman
- Engineering Documentation
