Description
You will be the Electronics Test Specialist for the Manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for performing recurring testing operations on a variety of electrical, mechanical, and optical hardware to ensure conformance with technical and operational requirements.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Electronics Test Specialist you will operate test equipment, analyze test data, and verify that hardware meets stringent performance criteria.
- Set up and calibrate electronic, mechanical, and optical test stations.
- Execute functional, environmental, and performance tests according to test plans.
- Document test results, identify non‑conformances, and report findings.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain test equipment and ensure compliance with safety and ESD procedures.
- U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Ability to use scopes, multimeters, power generators, torque and precision measuring tools in the testing and verification of electrical, electronic, and electro‑optical assemblies.
- Capable of following written procedures, policies, functional test plans, and manufacturing process plans as directed through computer software.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs.
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or D shift (three 12‑hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) as required by the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
- Prior experience with testing, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and/or optical hardware.
- Two‑year degree in electronics, or one‑year technical education in electronics with one year of test experience, or two years of military service with electronic schooling and applied test experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
- Familiarity with automated and manual test equipment.
- Ability to apply epoxy or adhesives as per written directions.
- Active DOD Secret clearance.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Physical Requirements- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Work required shifts: 1st, 2nd, or D shift (three 12‑hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
This position is based in Orlando, Florida.
