Systems Engineer, Test Engineer, Electronics Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on system integration and testing of complex hardware and software systems, including electro-optic sensor platforms used in military applications.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in software development (C, C++, LabVIEW preferred)
- 4–6 years of experience in a production environment
- 6+ years of experience in test equipment design
- 6+ years of experience in electronic testing
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical testing
- Strong understanding of system integration and test processes
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software interface issues
Preferred Skills
- Experience with LabVIEW / Lab Windows CVI and National Instruments (NI) systems
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) development and integration
- Experience with PXI/VXI systems, switching hardware, and test automation
- Experience working in high-volume production environments
- Experience supporting electro-optic systems or similar technologies
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute system-level test plans, procedures, and schedules
- Integrate and test hardware and software components across subsystems
- Analyze test results and generate detailed evaluation reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues
- Support regression testing to validate fixes and system performance
- Define system requirements, interfaces, and testability criteria
- Collaborate with engineering and program teams to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives
- Support development and maintenance of automated test systems

- 1st Shift
- Fully onsite in Orlando, FL
- Safety shoes required
