We are actively seeking to hire the following position in Orlando:
- Senior CAD Designer
What You'll Do:
--Primary Responsibilities--
- Lead the development and refinement of design concepts that meet both client needs and project goals. Ensure that designs align with budget, schedule, and regulatory constraints.
- Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and other design software, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, designers, and clients to integrate technical requirements, structural elements, and aesthetic design into cohesive project solutions. Oversee multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless coordination throughout the design and construction process.
- Participate in design reviews, making necessary modifications based on client and team feedback to ensure the project meets all objectives. Ensure design revisions maintain quality and adhere to project schedules and budgets.
- Interpret building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements to guide the design process, ensuring all designs meet the required legal and safety standards.
- Conduct research on materials, construction techniques, building codes, and industry trends to ensure that designs incorporate up-to-date and innovative solutions.
- Perform site visits to gather relevant data, assess construction progress, and evaluate the feasibility of designs. Generate detailed reports based on site assessments and findings.
- Calculate material quantities, cost estimates, and other necessary data to support civil engineering and land development projects. Assist with construction plans, ensuring all specifications are met.
- Coordinate construction plans across various disciplines and ensure the timely submission of design documents to regulatory agencies. Support project management by overseeing timelines, deliverables, and client communication, contributing to the successful execution of projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
--Position Requirements--
- MUST be an expert in AUTOCAD CIVIL3D
- MUST have experience with heavy hands-on design specific to UTILITIES space specific to WATER UTILITIES
- MUST have experience with design for water-bearing infrastructure such as pipes, pipelines, pumps, lift stations, and/or treatment plants
- MUST feel confident in ability to succeed in CAD assessment to verify level of technical expertise and knowledge in use of tool specific to demonstrating knowledge of tool use for utility-based design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Suite software's and drafting techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in Commercial, Retail, Restaurant, and Industrial projects is a plus.
- Adaptable and receptive to instruction from others.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in design, with a strong focus on commercial and residential projects.
