** What You Will Be Doing*
* We are seeking an Guidance, Navigation, and Control  GNC  Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation of complex technical solutions  This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control   Modeling & Simulation Engineer tasks include:

- Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture

- Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6 degree of freedom simulations  6 DOF  and effects based simulations

- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements

- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities

- Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware In The Loop  HWIL  activities

- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* - Post Secondary STEM degree with 1  years of relevant experience

- Must be a US Citizen as an Interim Clearance is required to start

- Candidate must have fundamental proficiency in C  

- Proficient in either MATLAB or Python

- Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control  GNC  or Modeling and Simulation  M&S  assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:

o Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms

o Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6 degree of freedom simulations

o Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations

** Desired

Skills:

* - Proficiency with Python and Linux

- Experience with Agile development

- Experience with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops  CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git

- Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills

 Active Secret Clearance

** Security Clearance Statement:
** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration

** Secret

** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
