Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Optical Components Center (OCC). Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the production life‑cycle of electromagnetic grids and thin film coatings for various optical systems.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes of optics, with an emphasis on photolithography and thin‑film coatings.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support manufacturing processes of optics with emphasis on photolithography and thin‑film coatings.
- Design and develop optical coatings for lenses and windows.
- Define equipment parameters and maintenance requirements.
- Perform characterization of deposited coatings and analyze data.
- Provide technical guidance to operators and develop work instructions.

LocationThis position is in Orlando. Must be a U.S. citizen - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline from an accredited college.
Experience or basic training in at least one programming language for data analysis:
- Python
- Matlab
- Excel VBA
Microsoft Office software experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
