Description
You will be the Procurement Engineer Staff for the Supply Chain & Engineering team. Our team is responsible for coordinating with MFC Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, the Supply Base and industry experts to ensure product design, production, test and qualification.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Procurement Engineer Staff you will be responsible for driving supplier rate acceleration, cost reduction, and lead time improvements while ensuring technical compliance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze technical data, designs, performance specs, and manufacturing constraints.
- Collaborate with suppliers to accelerate rates and recommend alternate processes/materials.
- Identify and qualify additional sources to mitigate supply risk.
- Drive down supplier cost, improve affordability, and reduce lead times.
- Travel >50% to supplier sites and internal stakeholder meetings.

Basic Qualifications- Technical or Manufacturing experience
- Proven experience working process improvement activities that yield lower cost and/or lead time reductions
- Previous design engineer or production design background
- Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Understanding of raw material types and alternatives
- Engineering degree preferred
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
