Description:

MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for our Optical Components manufacturing center based out of Orlando, FL.

The position requires quality engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products

* Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment

* Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

* Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

* Leads and / or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.

* Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.

* Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.

* Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.

* Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards.

* Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.

* Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience/education

Candidate must be able to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance

GD&T Experience

SAP Experience

APRISO Experience

Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)

Demonstrated Presentation skills

Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102

Desired

Green or Black Belt Certification

AS9102 interpretation and application experience

Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
