The Estimator is required to understand the basic practices of estimating, understanding the different mechanical design systems. Estimators are expected to utilize a combination of skills and experience to understand cost accounting, computer technology to perform estimating tasks, Proposal letter writing & communication skills to communicate with Clients.

The Project Estimator will report to the VP/President of the Mechanical Division

A successful Estimator is responsible for the following outcomes:

• Complete estimates in a timely manner
• Managing the bid schedule on a day to day basis
• Communication with, Clients and Engineers
• Assisting in the Schwenn office administration staff pertaining to the bidding projects
• Advocating the Schwenn Company’s Vision of being our clients preferred and most desirable choice for their mechanical and electrical service needs.

The Estimator is the team generator or business s position is critical to the success of keeping the pipeline full on a monthly basis. Always in the assist mode to help those around them. This position is critical to the current and future success of growth in the future.

• Managing the success and completion of all estimates assigned to them
• Coordinate with client estimating staff and office to meet their needs and expectations
• Manage the accuracy of all the estimating processes
• Manage and Control the Submittal and RFI’s process
• Proficient in file organization, bidding schedules & Communication with VP on bidding status every month

• Minimum 5 years of Estimating experience in the HVAC Business
• Able and willing to work in a team environment
• Able to demonstrate and understand Plans and Specification
• Able to demonstrate and understanding of job costing reports
• Able to clearly communicate with management, coworkers and customers
• Self-motivator is a must
• Pass a Drug Test
