Reporting ToSite Engineering Manager
LocationOnsite – Orlando, FL
EligibilityRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering/analytical/scientific field and 5 years of experience in a quality related environment, or associate’s degree and 9 years of experience, or high school diploma and 13 years of progressive and relevant quality experience.
Experience with AS9100/ISO
9001, AS9102 or similar quality standards. Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Experience with lean and/or Six Sigma
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, test, and procurement processes
- Act as the Quality lead for assigned program(s)
- Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and government agencies to guarantee compliance with contract requirements
- Maintain, evaluate, and improve the site inspection plan
- Lead analysis of contractual requirements and creation of program plans, procedures, quality codes, etc.
- Maintain presence in production and site laboratory areas and develop effective working relationships with personnel and program staff
- Provide technical support for determining the cause of quality issues and problems
- Perform root cause analysis on common failures and RMAs
- Support failure analysis, DOEs, SPC and other methods to improve processes
- Participate in corrective action reviews and lead effective root cause analysis
- Provide technical support for inspection personnel and other interfacing departments
- Create quality trend reports, maintain site‑level metrics, and suggest improved methods of operation
- Support implementation of departmental procedures and policies
- Support modernization of the facility and continually strive to make operations more effective, efficient, and defect‑free
- Perform internal audits as required to verify compliance with quality standards
- Maintain communications with corporate compliance departments for OSHA, EPA and EHS standards and ensure site compliance
- Inspect at an LRU and circuit board level
