Position

Summary

The primary role of this position is to support the planning, design, and implementation of automated industrial control systems in coordination with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions for construction and implementation across multiple market sectors including food & beverage, general industrial, oil & gas, logistics, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and water/wastewater.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design of complex supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Assist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
  • Assist with development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documents.
  • Assist with the development of software applications for automation such as programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI).
  • Assist with system testing and commissioning activities.
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
  • Give direction to clerical and technical personnel.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
  • Knowledgeable of Allen‑Bradley, Modicon, Wonderware and/or Intellution
  • May need to travel
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
