We are currently looking for a
Grid Code Engineer based inUSA
, who, in coordination with the Business Development and Construction teams, will lead the interconnection of renewable energy projects, considering the technical requirements of the Utilities and Applicable Law.
- Ensure project compliance with interconnection and grid code requirements across different ISOs and utilities.
- Coordinate and review grid studies in collaboration with consultants and equipment suppliers.
- Analyze and validate plant models using PSSE, PSCAD, and DigSILENT.
- Support project teams during design, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Provide technical input to development and EPC teams.
- Interface with ISOs, utilities, and OEMs to clarify requirements and ensure compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IEEE, NERC, and FERC standards.
- Contribute to internal procedures and best practices for interconnection compliance.
- Review and comment on interconnection study reports and facility study agreements.
- Participate in technical meetings with ISOs and utilities during project development.
- Support modeling and validation of inverter-based resources and plant controllers.
- Assist in the preparation of grid compliance documentation and testing reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of US interconnection processes (PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, CAISO, etc.).
- Experience in renewable energy projects, especially solar PV and battery storage.
- Expert user with simulation tools (PSSE, PSCAD, DigSILENT, PSLF).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
