Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related technical area, from an accredited college in a related discipline. 5+ years of professional work experience in Industrial/Production Engineering. Experience with manufacturing processes and assembly sequences (circuit card assembly, machining, complex cable routing, final assembly and integration, working with ordinance-related materials). Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma skills and ability to identify process issues/opportunities and implement cost saving solutions (affordability).
Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business and remote collaboration. U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security clearance.
You will be the Industrial Engineer Staff for the Air Dominance Program team. Our team is responsible for driving production efficiency, capacity planning, and cost optimization across multiple sites.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Industrial Engineer Staff you will be responsible for supporting the Air Dominance Program by delivering data‑driven analyses and leading improvement initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To- Collaborate with Industrial Engineers and cross‑functional partners to meet program goals and milestones.
- Conduct capacity analysis using Simio modeling to recommend equipment, tooling, and layout optimizations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and develop cost‑trade analyses.
- Analyze lead‑time drivers and propose actionable recommendations.
- Facilitate Structure Improvement Activities (SIA) and perform manufacturing readiness assessments.
- Greenbelt and/or Blackbelt Lean Six Sigma Certification desired.
- Good understanding and demonstrated application of technical and problem‑solving skills in the area of manufacturing and production.
- Preferred experience using Simio simulation software or similar software package for building discrete event simulation models for production capacity analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing readiness levels (MRLs).
- Experience in effective team leadership in planning and execution of process improvements and technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise business acumen with appropriate planning, problem‑solving, and execution of priorities to meet Program milestones.
- Knowledge of LM systems such as SAP, Apriso, etc. for producing hardware.
