Description
Candidate will support the IRST Reliability, Maintainability & Testability team. Program and configurations include, but are not limited to IRST F18, Legion, Legion-ES and IRST international.
Primary role includes support and development of testability / Built In Test (BIT) concepts, processes, analyses and procedures for the IRST portfolio. Support the system design team to define and influence design for testability to ensure capabilities in production and field. Define testability requirements, test strategies and test concepts to achieve fault detection and fault isolation objectives, minimizing systems downtime and expediting repairs.
Refine existing BIT architecture concepts, allocate requirements, and mature design functions and features for BIT. Identify opportunities to maximize BIT capabilities, reduce test equipment logistics, and support footprint.
Additional duties include assisting the Reliability team in identifying and resolving electromechanical technical issues and hardware/software integration. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical problems, determining solutions per product and customer specifications, analyzing data to identify failure trends, and recommending actions. Interaction with subcontractors, report writing, white paper writing, software/hardware integration/troubleshooting, FRACAS, ESB, ECB, FRB, ESS support, and CAB. Recognize opportunities for improvement based on failure data.
Candidate should learn hardware/software and troubleshooting skill sets and interact with engineers, subcontractors, program managers, and customers during investigation, documentation, and resolution of system/test set failures.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college.
- Strong experience with Python or Java.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment; motivated and results‑oriented.
- Proficiency/experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience using FRACAS and other root cause analysis tools in support of industrial facilities asset systems.
- Programming experience in C#.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Data architecture and design experience.
- Data administration experience.
- Testability & maintainability experience.
- Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) experience.
- Experience presenting findings to customers and management.
- Electronic/electromechanical testing and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, mechanical and electronic design.
- Part‑time remote telework: employee selected for this position will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. - Experience level: 4 years and up, college graduate.
