Overview
Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) Integrated Engineering is looking for a first-line leader responsible for a multi-disciplinary team that develops innovative training and logistics solutions for the Training Systems Network Infrastructure (TSNI) Integrated Program Team.
Responsibilities- Cost, schedule, and technical performance responsibility for programs.
- Shape the Multi-Domain Test Solutions (MTS) offering and lead technical proposal efforts to ensure affordability and cost reductions.
- Provide engineering support to Program Managers within the MTS Organization.
- Accountable for overall engineering technical, cost and schedule performance on a platform’s LM‑CORE specific programs.
- Serve as the primary technical operations interface with the Program Management Office/Customer for all programmatic items on a specific program.
- Identify and close technical issues.
- Meet or exceed all technical commitments made to the programs.
- Track Estimated Time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM).
- Handle metrics to monitor program performance and identify technical or staffing risks while managing cost and schedule.
- Provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements.
- Work closely with first and second line functional leaders to identify and secure appropriate staffing.
- Ensure program plans and technical baselines are consistent with Program Control processes and Modern Engineering Practices.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 or more years of professional engineering experience.
- Previous technical leadership experience.
- Experience managing cost and schedules.
- Experience with design and development within a program.
- Experience working with and presenting to DoD customers.
- Demonstrated experience leading development efforts.
- Experience in avionics development and/or testing such as a Systems Integration Lab (SIL), flight line/field testing, or factory test experience.
- Earned Value Management experience.
- Experience interfacing with U.S. Navy or U.S. Air Force customers and requirements.
Requires a U.S. Secret level security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Work Schedule & LocationPart‑time Remote Telework: part of the schedule will be remote and part will be at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule:
4×10‑hour workday, 3 days off per week.
