The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:

The ideal candidate will be trained to provide project engineering and system-level support for generator auxiliary systems across service projects from initial negotiation through field commissioning. Duties include understanding and supporting generator auxiliary design and standardization efforts, performing data-driven analysis, managing quotations, optimizing engineering processes, and maintaining standard design rules and tools. The candidate will coordinate technical activities across cross-functional teams, support enterprise-level system analysis, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, consistent, and efficient auxiliary system solutions.

Additional duties include interfacing with customers worldwide, supporting field commissioning activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the power generation environment. We are looking for candidates with knowledge of the power generation industry, solid computer and analytical skills, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

What You Will Do
  • Support generator auxiliary system engineering activities for service and modernization projects, with a focus on system optimization, standardization, scalability, and repeatability across auxiliary configurations.
  • Analyze SAP BOMs, cost data, historical project information, and field performance data to improve quotation accuracy, validate configurations, identify inconsistencies, and support data-driven engineering decisions.
  • Develop and maintain standard design rules, configuration logic, analytical tools, and engineering frameworks to enhance consistency, efficiency, compliance, and operational performance across projects and business units.
  • Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations including fluid flow, heat transfer, auxiliary electrical loads, equipment sizing, and weight analysis to support project definition, validation, troubleshooting, and upgrade planning.
  • Interpret and analyze functional diagrams, control logic documentation, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and system schematics to support system validation, operational analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization efforts.
  • Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to develop, review, release, and maintain engineering documentation and drawing packages including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, outline drawings, piping modifications, technical specifications, and BOMs.
  • Conduct design reviews for generator and auxiliary system upgrades/modifications, applying engineering standards and structured decision-making to balance cost, performance, safety, compliance, and standardization objectives.
  • Provide technical support to applications engineering, field service, vendors, district offices, and external customer organizations during quoting, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, outage recovery, and operational…
