Senior Civil Engineer Consultant

An experienced Senior Civil Engineer Consultant will plan, design, and execute civil and utility infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients. Projects include all phases of site development and power‑related infrastructure, such as wind farms, solar facilities, substations, transmission corridors, and industrial developments.

• Design, develop, and manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including renewable energy and utility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers to ensure compliance with zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations.
• Perform site evaluations, due diligence, and feasibility assessments for land development and energy infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, drainage reports, and permit submittals.
• Develop grading, drainage, access roads, and utility layouts for large‑scale developments and power generation facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Deliver designs that meet safety standards, environmental requirements, and client expectations.
• Perform quality control reviews for contract deliverables.
• Coordinate with surveyors, environmental scientists, structural engineers, and electrical engineers for integrated delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 10 years of relevant experience in site civil engineering.
• Experience with site development and/or utility infrastructure projects, including renewable energy (wind, solar) or transmission projects.
• Familiarity with permitting processes for both traditional development and energy/utility projects.
• Proven project and/or task management experience.
• Strong knowledge of site civil engineering principles – grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Civil3D (preferred) or similar site design software.
