Description:
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire control is looking for an experienced mechanical engineering to support the SNIPER sensor program. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation, coordination, and release of mechanical design artifacts that feed into the Sniper Program. You will work side by side with other engineers, production planners, and the global supply chain to address production delays, yield issues and failure investigations to support the continued success of the program.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Generate complete, release ready engineering documents (drawings, BOMs, assembly parts lists) for fabrication and procurement.
• Perform tolerance stack up and fit analyses to ensure manufacturability and reliability of mechanical components.
• Conduct design reviews, incorporate feedback, and secure formal engineering release approvals.
• Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
• Coordinating the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, optics, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence, including occasional travel for site visits
Basic Qualifications:
B.S in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant industry. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and complex system-level tolerance analysis. Proficient in Computer Aided Design (PTC CREO preferred). Experience generating engineering drawings, documents, parts lists and specifications. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Desired

Opto-Mechanical Design Experience Leadership experience, leading tasking and decision making over small or large teams. Have the ability to guide major projects to completion and engage with senior personnel on significant matters, including multi-functional and multi-site teams. The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300 - $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
