Overview
We are developing a world‑class LevelD helicopter full‑flight simulator for the Rotary Training Solutions Blackhawk simulator, using cutting‑edge hardware, graphics, real‑time physics, and training services to deliver high‑fidelity training devices worldwide.
Responsibilities- Lead other Hardware Engineers and synchronize engineering, procurement, production planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure designs are completed as scheduled.
- Develop innovative solutions to a range of complex problems that align with program objectives.
- Act as a member of the Integrated Product Team responsible for scope, cost, and schedule, and interface with cross‑functional teams and customers on a regular basis to execute scope.
- Support cross‑functional teams through major technical reviews throughout the acquisition lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
- Apply Hardware Engineering processes in an Agile environment and communicate technical concepts to external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 5+ years of related experience in hardware engineering, with post‑secondary training or degree in a related discipline.
- Active development of new mechanical design engineering principles and full demonstrated knowledge of industry practices.
- Issuing formal design checking approvals or non‑conformance reports through the PLM tool.
- Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub‑assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles.
- Developing and generating hardware architectural layouts for systems and lower‑level interfaces between systems and subsystems.
- Deriving hardware and sub‑tier requirements from customer requirements.
- Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation.
- Experience applying Hardware Engineering processes in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Windchill, Creo, Windchill and/or Catia, Zuken, and Cameo.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 and ability to perform complex system‑level tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of generating hardware architecture, high‑level interconnects, and deriving requirements from customer and system‑level flowdowns.
- Experience in development, integration, and deployment of flight training systems.
- Experience with modular open systems architectures (e.g., SOA) and full‑motion simulators.
- Experience with Rotary and/or Fixed Wing Aircraft or Training System Design.
- Active Secret Security clearance or higher.
- U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.
- Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting work.
- 10–20% domestic and/or international travel required.
4 × 10 hour day, 3 days off per week (part‑time remote/On‑site schedule; specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process).
