Senior Highway Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Highway/Roads Engineer to lead detailed development of rural and urban roadway design projects and support a range of transportation initiatives.

• Serve in the lead technical role in the detailed development of rural and urban roadway design projects.
• Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems.
• Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity.
• Provide guidance for technical staff.
• Assume project‑management duties and interact with clients as needed.
• Supervise the work of medium‑sized staff of professionals and technicians as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Utilize CADD production and modeling software including Open Roads Designer and Micro Station SS10.

• MSCE degree.
• Advanced Temporary Traffic Control Certification.
• Experience with Civil 3D, InRoads, and Microsoft Office applications.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignment preparation, geometrical layout, and CAD base alignment plans.
• Experience with coordinating survey, grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout is a plus.
