Job Description:
Transportation – Southeast Region. As populations grow, so do demands for safe, expedient and cost-effective transportation. AECOM’s Southeast Transportation business line partners with clients to build, modernize and expand transportation projects that carry communities into the future — safely and reliably. We use our knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation systems, and in restoring and replacing aging infrastructure, to help clients move people across cities, countries and continents.
Our integrated approach and social responsibility have earned trust from local municipalities, government agencies, commercial clients and public-private partnerships.
We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Roadway Engineers and Designers to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.
Key roles- Junior level, mid-level and senior level Roadway Engineers
- Roadway CAD Designers
- Roadway Modelers
- Design/Build or Alternative Delivery project experience
- Experience or interest in complex interstate highway design
- Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
- Experience in Roadway Design calculations including Superelevation, Stopping Sight Distance (SSD), Decision Sight Distance (DSD), Acceleration and Deceleration lanes
- Experience using the 2018 AASHTO Green Book
Minimum Requirements
- Roadway CAD Designers & Roadway Modelers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or/or experience
- BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or/or experience
- BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or/or experience
- EIT Certification or PE License
- State DOT experience
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Relocation assistance may be available for this role.
- These positions are expected to be hybrid (remote/in-office) and based out of a local AECOM office.
