Transportation Director​/Practice Leader

• Provide strong leadership and guidance in technical expertise and oversight of the transportation practice in the region.
• Research markets, develop and maintain client relationships, and identify business opportunities.
• Create and execute strategic plans to guide practice growth.
• Lead successful strategic pursuits and capture planning for specific opportunities.
• Work closely with operations staff to identify, hire, develop and grow key staff and resources, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with Halff’s national Transportation Practice to ensure implementation of best practices and leverage firm-wide resources.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET‑accredited equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in transportation planning, design, and related services.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in the state of Florida.
• Established leadership and expertise in the industry.
• Strong client connections, particularly senior DOT relationships.
• Positive attitude, self‑directed yet a team player, with a focus on integrity and quality.

• Multi‑disciplinary teams to meet complex challenges of aging infrastructure and constrained budgets.
• Extensive knowledge of planning, designing, and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably.
• Collaborative approach to transportation projects.
