Description

This role is best suited for a Mechanical Designer with strong machine design experience who can hit the ground running with Solid Works and electro-mechanical systems. Candidates from robotics, automation, industrial equipment, aerospace ground support equipment, AGV/AMR, drone, camera/imaging systems, or custom machinery backgrounds will likely be the strongest fit.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to support the design, development, and documentation of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical products. This individual will play a key role in creating innovative solutions while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong machine design experience, proficiency with 3D CAD tools, and a hands-on understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

+ Mechanical Design & Product Development

+ Design and develop mechanical systems and components including cameras, transporters, lifts, robotic systems, automated equipment, and related mechanisms.

+ Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings with appropriate GD&T standards.

+ Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.

+ Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and design packages.

+ Validate documentation for quality, accuracy, and manufacturability.

+ Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Solid Works Professional (CSWP) certification.

+

Experience with Autodesk Inventor.

+ Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and Y14.100 standards.

+ Familiarity with weld symbols and drawing standards.

+

Experience with ERP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM/PDM) systems.

+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.

Candidates who have designed products such as:

+ Inspection equipment

+ Robotic platforms

+ Automated machinery

+ Camera systems

+ Mobile robotic systems

+ Industrial equipment

+ Drones or unmanned systems

+ Electro-mechanical assemblies

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $89000.00/yr.
